The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of advanced drainage designs for large-scale and complex projects.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to the latest regulations and industry standards
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to secure necessary approvals and permits.
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure they are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies.
  • Mentor junior and intermediate engineers, providing guidance and support in their professional development.

Successful candidate specifications:
  • Minimum relevant UK experience of 4+ years’ in drainage, and/or highways and infrastructure design;
  • In-depth understanding of industry processes, including planning applications, procurement, and technical approvals.
  • Proficiency in industry software like Microdrainage, Causeway Flow, Civil 3D, and AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, graphical).
  • Exceptional report-writing skills.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • High proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, Word).
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Strong teamwork and time management skills.
