An established M&E consulting engineering firm is seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer to join their Cardiff-based team. 🔧 What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, and emergency back-up systems
- Producing calculations, technical drawings, and Revit/CAD documentation
- Conducting site surveys and liaising with contractors, clients, and internal teams
- Ensuring compliance with UK standards (e.g., BS 7671, CIBSE)
- Supporting project delivery—tracking schedules, budgets, and quality control
- Collaborating closely with mechanical engineers and multi‑disciplinary teams
- Staying up-to-date with technical innovations and regulations
- Learning from senior engineers within a fully in-house consultancy structure
🧩 What You’ll Bring
- Degree in Electrical, Building Services, or related Engineering discipline
- 2–5 years’ experience in electrical design within building services consultancy
- Proficiency with CAD, Revit, and electrical calculation/design tools
- Good understanding of UK regulations and building standards
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
- Proactive problem-solving and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Full UK driving licence
