Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 + Annual Bonus

About the Role

As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, you will work closely with senior engineers, supporting the design and delivery of sustainable electrical systems for a wide range of projects. You will build technical skills and take ownership of key tasks, collaborating with professionals committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing and specifying Electrical Building Services systems under senior guidance
  • Conduct detailed calculations (Amtech, Dialux/Relux) to meet technical standards
  • Support electrical design aligned with project briefs
  • Help specify power and lighting systems
  • Contribute to project delivery including design development, budget tracking, and timelines
  • Draft technical specifications (NBS Chorus)
  • Collaborate with the BIM team (Autodesk and Revit experience beneficial)
  • Join client and contractor meetings to support coordination
  • Carry out site surveys and inspections
  • Produce clear technical reports and documentation
  • Work with architects and designers on integrated building services solutions
  • Maintain accurate records and project files
  • Follow the company’s quality, environmental, and governance processes

About You

  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline and working towards Chartered status or equivalent
  • 18 months to 3 years’ experience in building services engineering
  • Proficient in Amtech, Dialux/Relux, NBS, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong problem-solving skills and interest in sustainable engineering solutions
  • Motivated to develop professionally and take on increasing responsibility
  • Collaborative team player with good initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in client and design team meetings is preferred but not essential
