Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 per annum A rapidly growing, outcomes-focused MEP engineering consultancy is seeking an Intermediate Electrical Engineer to join their team. About the Role: As an Intermediate Electrical Engineer, the successful candidate will assist in electrical engineering design for building services across a range of projects. They will provide technical, design, and contract management support to ensure that client specifications and project requirements are met. The role also offers the opportunity to develop technical expertise while working closely with senior engineers and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the electrical design and engineering for projects, supporting senior engineers in delivering technical solutions from concept through to completion.
- Support the preparation and compilation of specifications, drawings, and contract documentation in line with relevant codes, standards, regulations, and procedures.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and design teams to support the successful delivery of projects.
- Provide support in delivering electrical building services designs and ensure all work complies with project and client requirements.
- Assist in monitoring and managing scope and schedule changes, ensuring change control processes are followed and that projects stay on track.
- Offer technical support to junior engineers, helping to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Work on a variety of projects, from small-scale to large, across sectors such as residential, commercial, and more.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:- A degree in Electrical Building Services Engineering (or equivalent) or substantial relevant experience.
- 3+ years of experience in an engineering consultancy, working on multi-residential, commercial, or similar projects.
- Exposure to both contractor and client-side environments (desirable).
- Familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and lighting design software (e.g., DiaLux).
- Experience with cable calculation tools (e.g., Trimble).
- A solid technical understanding of Building Services Engineering and the ability to integrate with other disciplines like acoustics and fire engineering.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and support project delivery.
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., CIBSE, IET) and progress towards Chartered Engineer status (or already chartered).
