Class 1 Driver Shunting

Location: Sleaford
Salary: £15.00 per hour
Shift Length: 10 hours per shift

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Class 1 Driver Shunter to join our clients team based in Sleaford. As a Shunter, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of multiple loads between our depot and a nearby client, located approximately 10 miles away. This role is perfect for a skilled driver looking for stable, local work with competitive pay.
You will be starting work at 7:00am each day and working Monday to Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely shunt trailers between our depot and the client's location
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Ensure loads are secure and properly distributed before transit.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, as well as legal requirements.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and logs accurately.
• Communicate effectively with the transport team to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements:

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Driving License.
• Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver or Shunter.
• Good knowledge of vehicle safety and road traffic regulations.
• Strong communication skills and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work 10-hour shifts on a regular basis.
