Pertemps are assisting Royal Mail and looking for reliable, hardworking individuals to join our team of Mail Sorters. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with one of the UK's most trusted brands and play a vital part in delivering mail to millions of customers during the busy seasonal period.

About the Role

As a Mail Sorter, your main responsibility will be to assist in sorting, loading, and unloading mail and parcels in preparation for delivery. This is an essential role in helping us meet the increased demand for mail during the busy season.
Your duties will include:

• Loading and unloading trollies of mail and parcels
• Sorting letters, parcels, and envelopes by postcode or delivery area
• Sifting through parcels and envelopes efficiently
• Ensuring all mail is handled in line with Royal Mail's safety and quality standards
• Standing for long periods (up to 8 hours), so a certain level of fitness is required
• Working as part of a dedicated team to meet daily targets

Shifts & Pay Rates

• AM Shift (6am to 2pm): £13.90 per hour
• Afternoon Shift (2pm to 10pm): £13.90 per hour
• Twilight Shift (6pm to 10pm): £13.90 per hour
• Night Shift (10pm to 6am): £15.11 per hour

About You

• Are fit and able to stand for long periods (up to 8 hours per shift)
• Have an eye for detail and can work quickly and accurately under pressure
• Are reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
• Are flexible and able to work various shifts, including nights, evenings, and weekends
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but not essential
