Role Responsibilities:As Site Engineering Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring engineering operations are safe, efficient, and aligned with business goals. Your core duties will include:
- Leading and developing a team of shift engineers through mentoring, appraisals, and performance management
- Overseeing the delivery of planned preventative maintenance and reactive breakdown support
- Ensuring compliance with all site health and safety requirements
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to optimise plant performance and energy use
- Coordinating with contractors and third-party engineers on-site
- Supporting the integration of new equipment and technologies
- Working collaboratively with technical and project teams to maintain audit-readiness and production efficiency
- Managing team workload, capacity planning, and resourcing effectively
- Building strong working relationships across departments to ensure alignment and results

What We're Looking For:Essential:
- Proven experience in a similar engineering leadership role
- Time-served multi-skilled engineer (electrical or mechanical)
- Ability to manage, motivate, and develop technical teams
- Strong communicator with excellent stakeholder management skills
- Proactive problem-solver with a hands-on approach when needed.
Desirable:
- Experience in food manufacturing or FMCG
- Familiarity with lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
