Job Title: Process Operator – C2
Location: Chester, Cheshire
Salary: £12.21 per hour + 25% shift allowance
Contract Type: Permanent
Holidays: 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Hours: Rotating shifts (average 36 hours per week)
Week 1: Monday to Thursday, 05:45–13:45 | Friday, 06:00–15:00
Week 2: Monday to Thursday, 13:45–22:30
Flexibility is required to work both shifts
About the RoleReporting to the C2 Production Manager, the Process Operator will be responsible for operating machinery and supporting the manufacturing process within a designated production cell. You will be involved in the production of sheet lead using various methods, including rolling mill, slitter, and saw operation. Cross-training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities- Achieve daily production targets in line with departmental goals
- Identify and report any faults or issues that may delay production
- Ensure all operating conditions are correct prior to commencing work
- Accurately record production data and other required operational information
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Follow all company systems, policies, and procedures
About You- To be considered for this position, you should have:
- Proven experience operating machinery in a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
- A valid Counterbalance FLT licence (this is mandatory)
- A proactive and flexible approach to work
- The ability to work well within a team
- A Reach FLT licence (desirable but not essential)
