Hours: Monday – Thursday, 8:00am – 5:00pm | Friday, 8:00am – 4:15pm
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for experienced Casting Operatives to join a busy manufacturing team on the Wrexham Industrial Estate. This role is based within the continuous casting department, producing small polyurethane mouldings and bushes for a wide range of applications.

As a Casting Operative, you will be responsible for manufacturing polyurethane products by casting into steel and aluminium moulds, using a combination of dispensing machines and some hand-mixed systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with previous casting experience who are looking to secure a long-term position within a growing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate casting machinery and hand-mixing systems to produce polyurethane mouldings and bushes.
• Work with steel and aluminium moulds, ensuring accuracy and quality at all times.
• Maintain a keen eye for detail and strong numerical ability to measure and mix materials correctly.
• Work effectively within a small, close-knit team to meet production targets.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times.
• Troubleshoot minor issues with machines or processes to maintain smooth production.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.

Requirements

• Previous casting or moulding experience is essential.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure.
• Good numerical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong team player with good communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a factory/shop floor environment.
