Lead technical Engineer

Job Summary:
The Lead Technical Engineer position is the voice and leader for the engineering team. This role is critical to the success of the department as it develops and builds relationships with customers and internal colleagues alike. The trust gained in this position is invaluable to the department’s progress and smooth running. The role requires effective communication skills not only with customers but with colleagues across multiple departments, with a proactive and enthusiastic approach to coordination and planning. The Lead Technical Engineer will provide technical support and field assistance to our engineers ensuring projects are being installed correctly, to company standards and to the highest industry standards possible. The Lead Technical Engineer will provide technical support and assistance to the Design and Sales team ensuring all new projects, tenders and pricing submissions are compliant with company standards, industry standards and will meet client expectations. The Lead Technical Engineer will provide technical and IT assistance with the company internal systems, (IT, Security, Intruder, CCTV) and servers when necessary.

Essential Duties & Responseibilities 
• Coordinate, Commission, Test & Troubleshoot projects throughout EMEA.
• Manage all server deployments and all programming activities.
• Take responsibility for adherence to our technical standards on all projects.
• Take responsibility for the upkeep of our technical certification programs (Lenel, Honeywell, AMAG, Software House, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Feenics, Brivo, Openpath etc.)
• Contribute to the technical design/design assurance and delivery of new complex, global projects.
• Take the lead on our Equipment/Platform specification during pre-sales (new, potential clients)
• Provide Technical / Operational support to our teams when required.
• Build and maintain technical relationships with suppliers/partners.
• Ensure all projects that are delivered have undergone a detailed technical review and a validated Commissioning process.
• Manage technical team/engineering personnel in country and provide support to colleagues within the EMEA region as the technical department grows.
• Service and maintenance support – assisting field engineers, LSPs and clients resolving technical problems, commissioning/programming. Providing remote support to customers, colleagues, and subcontractors.
• Account management assistance in support of company growth opportunities.
• Support new company initiatives and assist in business development efforts.
• Document & define our technical service offerings for customers.
• Develop new processes for commissioning, QA/QC & project sign off.
• Travel to sites to meet clients and build relationships.
• Manage, supervise, and organize existing Engineers; mentor, train and develop their skillset.
• Hands on commission projects.
• Lead and control the effective planning and booking of the engineering team, ensuring all engineers are booked a least a month in advance.
• Engage in open service cases and assist in resolving technical problems.
• Take responsibility for training new / existing internal engineers.
• Manage the company training register.
• Host monthly in house “lunch & learns” showcasing new technologies, company initiatives to the team.
• Meet manufacturers, represent the company, and drive aspirations to support new Enterprise products. 
• Source new talent & build technical team as requirements grow.
• Other reasonable duties maybe requested or assigned.
