CAD Design Engineer

Pertemps Stoke are currently seeking a skilled and motivated CAD Design Engineer to join our client’s team in Newcastle-under-Lyme. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with AutoCAD, specifically in 3D design, and will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for a range of projects. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, collaborating closely with their engineering team and clients to ensure designs meet all technical requirements.

Responsibilities of this CAD Design Engineer role:

• Create detailed 3D models and technical drawings using AutoCAD.
• Develop and refine designs in accordance with project specifications and engineering requirements.
• Work alongside engineers to troubleshoot design challenges and propose solutions.
• Ensure designs meet relevant industry standards and regulations.
• Modify and update existing designs as required for project improvements or client feedback.
• Provide accurate estimates of time and resources needed for design tasks.
• Assist in the preparation of design documentation and presentations for clients.
• Maintain and organize project files, ensuring that all design updates are tracked and documented.
• Collaborate with the project team to ensure timely delivery of all design work.

Key Skills & Experience required for this CAD Design Engineer role:

• Proven experience with AutoCAD, specifically in 3D design (essential).
• Strong understanding of engineering design principles and processes.
• Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical drawings.
• Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and industry standards.
• Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and across multiple projects.
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and team members effectively.
• Experience in a similar engineering or design role is highly desirable.

Details of this CAD Design Engineer role:

• The role offers an excellent salary of £35,000 per annum
• Full-time, permanent position with Monday to Friday working hours (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)
• Location: Newcastle-under-Lyme
