About the RoleWarwickshire County Council is seeking an organised and proactive Business Support Officer to join the Adult and Community Learning (ACL) team. Based at the Pound Lane Learning Centre in Leamington, this role is key to supporting the smooth running of ACL services across the county.
As a Business Support Officer, you will work in a busy team where deadlines are critical, providing administrative support and reception duties during term time. You will also play an essential part in managing enrolments, handling enquiries, and contributing to the success of courses that help learners gain skills, confidence, and qualifications.
Key Responsibilities- Responding to learner enquiries via telephone, email, online, and in-person at the reception desk.
- Assisting learners with enrolments and maintaining accurate records in the learner MIS system (ProSolution).
- Supporting exam administration, including invigilation (training provided), assisting with seating plans, and handling certificates. Some travel may be required for exams at external venues.
- Providing general administrative support, including printing course materials, copying, scanning, and ordering supplies.
- Handling financial transactions, such as processing course fee payments, bursaries, petty cash, and invoices using Unit 4 (WCC Finance system).
- Collaborating across multiple sites using SharePoint and working with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Using digital communication tools such as Gov.Notify, Mailchimp, Padlet, and MS Forms to enhance engagement with learners and improve workflow efficiency.
