Job Title: Senior Business Support Officer

Hours: Full-time, 37 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm)
About the RoleWe are looking for a confident and proactive Senior Business Support Officer to join the Warwickshire County Council's Business and Customer Service team. This exciting temporary role is ideal for someone who is ready to take on a leadership support position, acting as the second in command to the Business Support Team Manager. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations, from inbox monitoring and query resolution to CHC scheduling and admin support. You will also deputise during periods of annual leave and play a key part in supporting and guiding the wider team.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the deputy to the Business Support Team Manager, providing guidance and oversight in their absence.
- Coordinate CHC activities and scheduling across the team.
- Monitor and manage shared inboxes, ensuring timely responses and workflow continuity.
- Provide support with charging queries and help ensure accuracy and clarity in administrative processes.
- Step into general admin roles as needed, supporting document production, meeting coordination, and day-to-day service functions.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times.
- Use your experience to give clear instruction and help maintain team structure and priorities.
About You- Previous experience in a senior administrative or business support position.
- Confidence in giving instructions and coordinating team activity.
- Excellent organisation and communication skills, with great attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexibly under pressure and prioritise effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and working with digital systems.
- A proactive and collaborative mindset, ready to step in where needed.
