Data Systems Analyst
Location: Swansea - Hybrid
Hours: 37 per week, Monday-Friday
Contract Type: Temporary until 31st March 2026
Pay rate: £21.38 per hour
We’re looking for a
Data Systems Analyst to help drive the implementation of a Direct Data Capture (DDC) process across a laboratory environment, enhancing the accuracy and reliability of scientific data.
You’ll be at the heart of a collaborative technical team, working with internal specialists and external partners to deliver a robust, auditable solution that meets governance and accreditation standards. This is a hands-on role combining technical expertise, stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
What you’ll be doing:- Leading the rollout of a tested DDC process into a live laboratory environment.
- Coordinating delivery, testing, and documentation to meet external accreditation standards.
- Scoping and analysing database solutions to inform future improvements.
- Developing innovative data handling processes to boost efficiency and evidence value.
- Providing specialist advice and producing guidance materials for users.
What we’re looking for:- Strong experience with relational databases and SQL for data extraction and reporting.
- Proven track record of managing technical projects and working across multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor technical information to varied audiences.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
