• This highly regarded firm are seeking an experienced lawyer to join their excellent Commercial team to support both private and public sector clients, including handling FOI and EIR requests.

• The role will involve advising on the application of GDPR principles across a wide range of client projects, overseeing data sharing and export processes, and offering guidance on governance and compliance matters. Additionally, responsibilities include managing Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs), supporting responses to data breaches, and handling complaints and investigations initiated by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).

• You will be expected to draft privacy notices, compliance policies and procedures, commercial terms for controller and processor data sharing, and responses to various requests.

• The appointed candidate must possess a solid technical foundation and a deep understanding of Data Protection and Information Governance, with the ability to effectively apply these principles across diverse commercial contracting agreements.

• You will be confident, approachable, and have previous experience gained from a well-regarded firm. Strong commercial awareness and ability to work with limited supervision is also essential.
