THE ROLE:
A well-regarded firm is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to manage a primarily respondent-focused caseload, with some claimant work. The role involves advising employer clients on a broad range of employment law matters, including recruitment, terminations, discrimination, contract disputes, unfair dismissal, sickness absence, grievances, redundancies, TUPE, performance issues, and disciplinary processes.
You will also be responsible for conducting employment tribunal proceedings, drafting and updating employment contracts, policies, and handbooks, advising on senior exits, and supporting the Head of Department and Corporate Team on related transactional matters. The role requires active participation in business development initiatives - from networking to delivering training to HR and management, and mentoring junior team members.
THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal candidate will have at least 6+ years’ PQE in employment law, preferably gained within a commercial law firm. You must demonstrate strong technical experience managing employment tribunal claims and providing corporate support. A keen attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills are essential.
THE FIRM:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly respected firm known for delivering a wide range of legal services to commercial clients. The firm offers a competitive benefits package, including flexible leave, a pension scheme, life assurance, a health cash plan, access to a discount portal, and various wellbeing resources and support tools.
