Trainee Press Setter

Pertemps Swindon are currently recruiting a Trainee Press Setter on permanent basics.
Reporting to the Press Shop Supervisor, you will be a member of the Press Shop Team, with responsibilities for the efficient setting and running of a variety of presses.
To apply for this role you need to be confident to work in dirty environment and happy to wear ear plugs as can be noisy and they are required in some parts of press shop.
Salary: 25000-30000 DOE
Shift:
Monday to Thursday 07:00-16:00
Friday 07:00-12:15
Key Objectives -
To set the various presses in line with Production demands. In addition to this, assist in the organisation of the day to day running of the presses, working within tight daily time frames so that there is a continuous flow of work to the assembly lines, ensuring that health and safety is adhered to at all times. Be happy to work in machine environment where you can get dirty and have to wear ear plugs.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Capable of taking on all aspect of training for press setting
* Be physically fit and able to lift heavy parts
* Have a sound engineering and manufacturing background and passion to mechanical repairs
* Ability to use various measuring equipment
* Preferably have understanding of lean manufacturing and their methods.
