Science Teacher – Alternative Education Centre (Sunderland)
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people? Do you have a talent for engaging students who may not thrive in mainstream education? We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Science Teacher to join an Alternative Education Centre in Sunderland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver inspiring and tailored science lessons to small groups of students
• Support learners with varying abilities, including those with SEN needs
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to create personalised learning plans
• Encourage students to develop confidence and skills through creative and practical approaches to science

Requirements:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
• Experience teaching science across Key Stages 3 and 4
• Strong behaviour management skills and a flexible, empathetic approach
• A passion for working with students outside of mainstream education
