Accounts Assistant – 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract
Location: Glasgow (Hybrid
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm
Salary: Up to £32,000 per annum, depending on experience
My client is seeking an experienced
Accounts Assistant to join a busy finance team on a 12-month fixed-term contract, ideally starting
February/March 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, creative environment and play a key role in the smooth running of the finance function.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee processing of Sales and Purchase invoices
- Assist with credit control and purchase ledger payments
- Collate data for reports and monthly analysis
- Process and pay employee personal expenses
- Process, log, and check monthly credit card receipts and statements
- Monitor fixed costs reporting
- Assist with the production of monthly management accounts
- Raise and allocate Purchase Orders
Requirements:- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced finance environment
- Proven ability to process high volumes of invoices
- Discretion when handling confidential information
- Knowledge of Xero (advantageous, not essential)
Skills:- Strong communication and numerical ability
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
- Assertive, adaptable, and strong problem-solving skills
