Production Operative - Masker

This is a temp to perm role.  During the initial 3 months in this role, full training is given to ensure your skills are developed to move onto the next phase of Masking and into a permanent position. 
 
Our client is a world leader in parylene coatings for multiple industries. As a Masker you will be trained on masking and/or demasking of customer’s products before they are parylene coated using a microscope as the work is detailed.

Other duties can include cleaning, surface preparation, inspection, packaging, shipping, receiving, fixture refurbishing and other process related tasks.

The hours are Monday to Friday, with a choice of two shift patterns - 07.00am to 3.00pm or 08.00am to 4.00pm)

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cleaning and preparation of customer product for masking, coating process using basic cleaning/preparatory techniques.

Using small hand tools, microscope and /or other support equipment.

Inspecting your own work for quality compliance.

Maintain a high level of punctuality and attendance.

Maintain a high level of personal hygiene.

Maintain a neat and orderly work area and adhere to plant and corporate safety policies.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

Must clearly speak, read and write English. Have the ability to perform basic math functions.

Ability to work in a seated position for extended periods of time and have a high degree of manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination in order to perform precision masking and demasking functions.

Ability to distinguish between the colours of red, orange, yellow, blue, green and violet.

A good general education. Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
