Site Engineer

The client are a leading printing and mail company that produce business continuity and security print solutions for several industry sectors such as insurance, retail, banking, utility etc.

They are recruiting for a Maintenance Operative to join their team in the Droitwich area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and fixing faults on printing and mailing machines and associated equipment. To ensure production machinery is running at optimal performance to ensure production targets are met.

Key responsibilities and duties;

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive mechanical maintenance across the site
• Repair of mailing and printing machinery and other associated equipment within the facility.
• Maintain, support and service any piece of production associated equipment, mailers, guillotines, folding machinery, book makers etc.
• Liaise with production management on machine performance, problems and improvements,
• Promote continuous improvement.
• Be a pro active member of the team.
• Maintain correct administration of parts usage.
• Ensure all maintenance works and tasks are logged correctly.

Skills and experience required;

• Minimum of 2 years working in a maintenance role within a fast production environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical skills - able to read both mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Good diagnostic and problem solving skills.
• Proactive and a sound problem solver.
• Team player.
• Computer literate.
• Able to pass a DBS check.

The role is on Days and is Monday to Friday (7am to 3pm)
