Senior Business Analyst to provide expert analysis and drive improvements across complex organisational processes.
Role Overview and ResponsibilitiesAs a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a key role in shaping business change initiatives, ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and objectives. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and facilitating access to subject matter experts. Your responsibilities will include:
- Building strong, strategic relationships across departments and managing stakeholder expectations.
- Leading workshops and visioning sessions to support strategic thinking and IT alignment.
- Analysing and documenting As-Is processes and designing To-Be processes to enable effective change.
- Applying best-practice business analysis techniques, including requirements elicitation, stakeholder mapping, and options appraisal.
- Supporting organisational readiness for change and ensuring benefits realisation.
- Promoting innovation by identifying new opportunities, methods, and technologies.
- Maintaining high standards of communication and collaboration across all levels of the organisation.
Essential Skills and ExperienceTo succeed in this role, you should bring:
- Proven experience in business analysis within complex organisations, ideally Higher Education.
- Strong knowledge of business analysis methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with process improvement, organisational change, and benefits realisation.
- Familiarity with delivery approaches such as Waterfall and Agile.
- Degree and/or professional qualification in Business Analysis or equivalent experience.
Desirable Skills- Exposure to user experience analysis and modelling techniques.
- Understanding of financial, cultural, and technological factors influencing change.
- Ability to champion a Business Analysis Centre of Excellence.
