Job Description
Requirements:
- Excellent planning and organisational skills especially around workforce/resource planning.
- 5+ years experience of managing a warehouse
- Excellent people management skills especially with training and development
- Used to working in a fast paced environment
- Experience of managing a budget.
- Change management
- Holding difficult conversations
- Experience of being part of a senior management team.
- Experience of overseeing the implementation of a WMS system would be an advantage.
Key tasks and Responsibilities:
- Manage all warehouse operations, inbound, outbound, and trunking operation
- Oversee warehouse Health and Safety compliance.
- Direct warehouse Group Audit compliance.
- Govern warehouse costs within budget and forecast levels.
- Manage warehouse reports weekly, investigate reasons for variances and to instigate corrective action where necessary.
- Employees to meet budget and forecast requirements.
- Proactively manage all absence and retention of staff.
- Deal with all warehouse disciplinary issues in line with company policy.
The warehouse is currently a team of 25 people working between 7am and 7pm
Monday to Friday. The warehouse manager would be expected to work 40 hours between these hours.
Salary £40,000k to £45,000k
