They are on the lookout for a proactive and driven Logistics Assistant Manager to join their Head Office team in Plymouth. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and love turning data into action, this is your chance to make a real impact.
As Logistics Assistant Manager, you’ll be the right hand to the Logistics Manager, helping lead a high-performing team and streamlining operations across the business. From onboarding new talent to driving process improvements, your work will be central to keeping our logistics engine running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily logistics operations, delegate tasks, and monitor team performance
- Deliver onboarding and ongoing training to build a skilled, confident team
- Identify inefficiencies and help implement smarter, faster processes
- Act as a communication hub between departments and stores
- Manage extranet accounts and respond to internal/external queries
- Maintain and distribute key promotional and locational data
- Collaborate on cross-functional projects with Buying, Supply Chain, Imports, Visual Merchandising, and Data Science
- Coordinate new store setups and ensure logistics readiness
- Keep internal systems accurate and up to date
- Use data tools to track stock levels, deliveries, and performance
- Analyse KPIs and generate reports to support decision-making
What You’ll Bring
- Strong Excel skills (Microsoft Office proficiency is essential)
- SQL or similar programming knowledge is a plus
- Business-related degree desirable but not essential (we’ll train you!)
- Experience in management or data-led roles is beneficial
- Sharp analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Calm under pressure with a keen eye for detail
