Job Description
Are you a hands-on individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a proactive Yard Support team member to join our clients busy team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a Safe Yard: Keep the yard clean and safe, reporting any potential risks or concerns to the management team.
- Equipment Handling: Assist with regular inspections, servicing, and maintenance of equipment, ensuring everything is ready for use.
- Load & Unload: Help prepare, load, and unload equipment from various vehicle types, ensuring everything is secured properly with ratchet straps.
- Stock Management: Work closely with the operations team to monitor stock levels, maintain proper labelling, and ensure equipment is serviced and ready for dispatch.
- General Yard Support: Support day-to-day yard activities as directed, actively participating in stock checks and asset identification.
- Adhere to yard procedures for equipment labelling.
- Complete required paperwork for near misses, damages, and accidents.
- Ensure proper completion of load lists and notify management of any stock shortages or missing items.
- Promote and enforce health and safety policies in the workplace.
- Report any equipment defects, risks, or accidents immediately to the line manager.
- Comply with Health & Safety regulations and take responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others.
- A strong team player with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work proactively and efficiently in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures is advantageous, but training will be provided.
- Competitive salary of 25k per annum.
- Lot’s of scope for progression and training.
- 25 days A/L + bank holiday's Any applicants must be happy to commute to the current site in Bedford until February when the site in Wolverton, MK will become their main place of work.
