What you’ll be doing as a Capex Financial Control Analyst
  • Support external audit control points, develop and manage solutions with the business, and liaison with external and internal audit.
  • Be responsible for supporting the development of the capex element of the working capital modelling including supporting the F&PA team.
  • Responsible for producing Capital Controlling reporting pack for exec-level presentation and challenge and review.
  • Support the progression, implementation and embedding of our Turnaround initiatives for AMP8; specifically Financial Planning & Analyst teams and Asset Management.
  • Monthly, half-year and full-year review of AUC related to timely commissioning of projects including business liaison, reviewing accounting treatment to key deadlines.
  • Be the focal point for providing technical accounting advice to the wider capital delivery community concerning the classification of opex /capex spend supporting and advising the business and other Finance teams.
Base Location: Clearwater Court Reading / Hybrid.
Working Pattern: 36 Hours.

What you should bring to the role
  • Positive result-driven mind-set, with strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Part or Fully Qualified Accountant. (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Experience with Excel and SAP.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience working in a utilities/water organisation is desirable but not essential.
