Salary: £27,464 per annum + benefits
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.00am – 4.00pm
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Overview:
Our client, a well-established food production and distribution business based in Enfield, seeks a dependable and detail-oriented Goods In Operative (Forklift) to join their warehouse team. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment, looking to join a supportive and stable team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately receive, check, and book in all deliveries 📦
- Ensure goods received match delivery paperwork
- Label received stock with correct “Best Before” dates
- Store pallets in the correct locations, with a focus on stock rotation and use-by dates
- Load and unload vehicles safely 🚚
- Distribute goods to the appropriate areas or personnel
- Use handheld scanners and electronic WMS to process stock
- Ensure paperwork is completed accurately and passed to the relevant departments
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
- Valid Counterbalance and Reach forklift licenses (essential)
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Good communication and basic computer skills
- Ability to follow processes and accurately check deliveries against paperwork
- Experience with handheld scanners is advantageous
- Familiarity with WMS systems (e.g. Orderwise) is a plus
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physical warehouse environment
- Able to work well under pressure and use initiative
- Good understanding of Health & Safety practices
- Physically fit – some heavy lifting is required 💪
This role is based within a warehouse environment and involves both desk-based and physical duties.
