We are looking for an experienced Paint Technician to join a prestigious custom vehicle specialist. Using HVLP spray guns, we would expect you to have previous experience with wet on wet techniques and low-bake ovens.
What will you be doing?- Preparing surfaces for paint application and highlighting any concerns to the preparation team.
- Using “wet on wet” techniques to produce parts that meet all quality and conformity standards.
- Mixing and matching paint to precise specifications, ensuring a flawless, smooth finish with no surface issues.
- Applying paint using HVLP spray guns with expert precision.
- Operating and maintaining low-bake ovens, ensuring they are cleaned and properly always maintained.
- Identifying and correcting any defects and working with anti-static equipment to minimise inclusions on substrates.
Essential Skills & Experience:- City & Guilds Level 3 or IMI qualification in automotive refinishing, or significant relevant experience in a similar environment.
- Strong knowledge of paint application techniques and the ability to mix and match colours with accuracy.
- Familiarity with low-bake ovens and drying techniques, as well as reading and interpreting technical instructions.
- A solid understanding of health and safety processes, quality conformance, and continuous improvement.
