Job Description

In this role, you will be part of the Quality Team, working within the wider laboratory and sampling structures. You will support the Quality Manager in the day-to-day operation of the Quality Management System, conducting audits for potable and wastewater sampling to ensure accreditation to ISO 17025, DWTS, and MCERTS for both sampling and laboratory activities.

Please note, this is 12-Month Fixed-Term Contract.

What you will be doing as a Sampling Quality Auditor:
  • Organising and conducting technician audits within the potable and wastewater sampling teams, auditing the QMS and laboratory methods according to the audit schedule.
  • Writing audit reports, providing feedback, and conducting root cause analysis of any audit findings. Managing the completion of any raised audit findings.
  • Providing advice, support, and training to the sampling and laboratory teams.
  • Ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of AQC processes within the sampling teams.
  • Promoting continuous improvement and sharing best practices.
  • Assisting in preparation for and participating in external audit activities (e.g., UKAS, EA).
  • Managing document control within the QMS.
  • Proactively identifying training needs through development plans.

What you should bring to the role:
  • Experience working within MCERTS, DWTS, or ISO 17025 accredited Quality Management Systems.
  • An understanding of ISO 17025 or Drinking Water Inspectorate and Environment Agency quality guidelines will be beneficial.
  • Ideally, experience conducting audits.
  • A full driving licence and access to a car to travel between sites in London and the Thames Valley region.
Working hours: 38 hours per week. Start and finish times can vary due to business needs, and you may need to start early on some days to conduct audits, so flexibility is essential.

Base Location: Spenser House Reading. This role involves significant driving between Little Marlow, Maple Lodge, and Reading.
