Our client is a premier manufacturing organisation renowned for their commitment to excellence, innovation, and sustainability. Their finance team is at the heart of their operations, ensuring that financial practices and reporting meet the highest standards. They are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Finance Analyst to join their team in Walsall.
 
As the Finance Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the finance team by providing the necessary expertise to maintain the integrity, professionalism, and effectiveness of their comprehensive finance function. You will ensure compliance with Group and statutory requirements, contributing to a robust control environment, accurate reporting, and sound business practices.
 
Your responsibilities as the Finance Analyst will include:
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with Group policies and statutory regulations.
  • Support the month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Conduct variance analysis and financial forecasting.
  • Assist in budgeting and strategic planning processes.
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Work closely with the Business Systems and Process Manager to develop the tools to report KPI’s, profitability and business streams.
  • Maintain and improve financial controls and procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits as required.
  • Help develop processes to improve business efficiencies using current and new systems.
  • Review the management accounts and supporting analysis with the Finance Manager to support the achievement of business objectives and performance targets.
  • Review cash, revenue and costs forecast with Finance Manager.
  • Assist with preparing presentations for management team on month end and quarterly performance.
  • Assist with the annual external audit and internal financial control audits.
  • Assist with providing Tax information.
 
To be considered for the role of Finance Analyst, you will require:
  • A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and actively studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
  • Proven experience within the manufacturing sector.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
