Assistant Financial Accountant

Sheridan Maine are recruiting for an Assistant Financial Accountant to join a fantastic group reporting team. 
 
This role offers a hybrid working pattern of 4 days working from home and 1 day in the office.
 
Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Financial Accountant will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of the statutory accounts.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including VAT control accounts. Manage submission, payments, and handle related queries.
• Monthly journal review process.
• Supporting the Financial Accountant with the preparation of all the groups entity VAT returns.
• Day to day maintenance of the finance reporting and budgeting system.
• Preparing budgets and forecasts.
• Identifying opportunities for improvements.

 
The successful Assistant Financial Accountant should possess the following skills and experience:

• Part qualified accountant (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) or studying.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to establish and build relationships across the business.
• A collaborative and solution oriented mindset.
• Advanced Excel skills and good all round IT knowledge.
• Ability to analyse, interpret and present information clearly and concisely.
