Sheridan Maine is proud to be working with a thriving Bristol-based business that is seeking an experienced and driven Finance Manager to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented finance professional looking to make a significant impact within a dynamic environment.
 
Responsibilities of the Finance Manager will include:

• Manage the accounts payable and receivable functions.
• Prepare basic financial statements, reports, and budgets using Xero.
• Process invoices, payments, and expense reports.
• Oversee payroll, liaise with accountants, and coordinate with staff.
• Handle bookkeeping activities, presenting findings to management.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial records.
• Completion of VAT returns.
• Maintain the balance sheet.
• Maintain accurate and organised financial records.
• Support staff with ad-hoc tasks and projects as needed.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

 
The successful Finance Manager will possess:

• Previous experience in bookkeeping or finance-related roles is advantageous.
• Proficiency in accounting software (preferably Xero).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles.
