“The road to success is always under construction.” Lily Tomlin. Sheridan Maine is partnering with a London-based organisation to hire a permanent Commercial Analyst. We're looking for a finance professional with approximately three years of experience, a strong commercial focus, and a proven track record in delivering outcome-driven reports. The main responsibility of this role is to support product and trading analysis.
This is a hybrid role, with a requirement to work in the office two days a week.
Your responsibilities as the Commercial Analyst will include:- Update and maintain a range of reports to track business KPIs, including dashboards, data models, visualisations, and analysis
- Provide insights and commentary on trading and product performance
- Collaborate with the Product team to analyse product margins and support pricing decisions
- Lead specific projects and ad hoc analyses under the direction of the Commercial Finance Leader
- Assist the Management Accountant team with mid to advanced-level Excel reporting to drive process improvements, under the guidance of the Head of Finance/Financial Controller
The successful Commercial Analyst will require the following skills and experience:- A strong financial background with 3+ years of experience is essential
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with large, disparate data sets; some modelling experience is preferred
- Commercially focused, with a proven track record of delivering reports that drive actionable outcomes
- Proactive and hands-on, with a commitment to continuously improving processes, delivering excellent service, and thoroughly understanding the challenges at hand
- A motivated self-starter capable of working independently
