We are excited to announce that Sheridan Maine is partnering with a leading hospitality organisation to recruit a Management Accountant. This role, based at the company’s head office in central London, offers a fantastic opportunity for a part-qualified accountant progressing through their studies. As part of this position, study support will also be provided.
In this role, you will collaborate with team members to support the monthly management accounts process, along with other accounting tasks and projects. You will be responsible for the UK and Ireland business portfolio, with a focus on delivering P&L and Balance Sheet reports.
Your responsibilities as the Management Accountant will include:- Play a key role in the monthly management accounts process by analysing spending, comparing it to the budget and prior year figures, and recommending adjustments as needed.
- Being the lead person for revenue analysis and system knowledge, using Apaleo to best of abilities and being able to support FD/CFO with revenue related queries where required.
- Supporting work on franchisee, posting in month revenue accrual and then issuing invoices as per contract to relevant franchisees.
- Partner with counterparts outside of finance to enhance their understanding of financial reports and to deepen the finance team’s insight into their departments.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting entries in the group’s General Ledger within the required timelines.
- Assist with external audits and year-end closing for the group entities.
The successful Management Accountant will require the following skills and experience:- AAT qualified/ACCA or CIMA Part Qual or Foundations completed.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a management accounts role.
- Previous revenue experience.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Experience supporting multi-property organisations.
This role requires three days in the office, with the remaining days working remotely.
