Sheridan Maine is excited to be recruiting for a Management Accountant to join a respected organisation in London on a 1-year fixed-term contract to cover maternity leave. Key responsibilities of the Management Accountant will include:- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including P&L statements, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
- Reconcile sales invoices, expenses, and accruals with assistance from the Finance Assistant.
- Perform variance analysis and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Process payroll, manage journal entries, and handle monthly exports to AIQ software.
- Input quarterly budget data and collaborate with stakeholders during budget meetings to support financial planning.
- Handle VAT returns, tax filings (PSA/P11D), and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Assist in the annual audit by preparing documentation and working with external auditors.
- Help develop financial policies, implement controls, and improve processes.
The successful Management Accountant will require:- Fully or part-qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or ACA) or qualified by experience.
- Demonstrable experience in a similar management accounting role.
- Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel knowledge.
- A commercial mindset with a clear understanding of the commercial requirements of running a consulting business.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
