Assistant Commercial Accountant - Hybrid

Sheridan Maine are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Commercial Accountant to support our clients finance team in delivering key insights that drive business performance. This role is perfect for a part-qualified ambitious finance professional looking to gain exposure to commercial accounting in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
 
Your key areas of responsibility will include:
 

• Perform and co-ordinate budgeting and forecasting processes
• Develop strong relationships across departments to ensure alignment on financial goals.
• Assist with month end processes
• Support the production of financial performance reports and dashboards.
• Monitor performance against forecasts, highlighting risks and opportunities.
• Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business decisions

Skills and Experience Required:
 

• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
• Intermediate Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, lookups) and proficiency with financial systems and software.
• Proficiency in financial systems and software
• Demonstrable experience in a similar accounting role, ideally in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
• Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills to work collaboratively across teams
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines under pressure
• A proactive, can-do attitude and a genuine desire to grow and develop within the role.
