Senior Accountant - Remote

Sheridan Maine is partnering with a leading business services organization in Austin, Texas, to recruit a highly skilled Senior Accountant.
 
Our client is a well-established organization known for delivering exceptional services to a wide range of clients. They are looking for a Senior Accountant to join their dynamic finance team and play a key role in supporting the company's financial health and growth.
 
Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant include but are not limited to:

• Take full responsibility for month-end tasks, including posting journal entries, maintaining detailed general ledger schedules, and reconciling key accounts.
• Assist in ensuring accurate and efficient month-end and year-end close processes.
• Support monthly financial reporting, including variance analysis.
• Assist with the annual audit process.
• Provide support for M&A integration reporting and technical accounting for acquisitions.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and support team enquiries.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
• Manage and prioritize multiple assignments in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Support continuous improvements in accounting processes, systems, and controls.
• Take on additional projects as needed to support the finance team and organization.

 
The successful Senior Accountant will require:

• BA/BS in Accounting, Finance or Business Management with an emphasis in accounting required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a business services or corporate environment.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, and tax regulations.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
