Sheridan Maine is delighted to be partnering with an established and expanding organisation based in West London to recruit a Finance Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive finance professional with experience managing high-volume transactions in a fast-paced environment.
 
About the Role
As Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Finance Controller and wider finance team. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be responsible for overseeing daily transaction processing, managing reconciliations, and ensuring the integrity of financial data. The role will also involve collaborating with international teams and providing essential support for month-end and year-end activities.
 
Your responsibilities as the Finance Manager will include:
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
  • Oversee the quality of financial transactions, including invoices processed by international teams.
  • Investigate balance sheet variances and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage daily transaction processing across multiple accounts and currencies.
  • Prepare and review files for annual audit purposes.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and support intercompany billing and reconciliation.
  • Take ownership of assigned tasks, alleviating workload from senior colleagues while maintaining accuracy and control.
 
You will require the following skills and experience to succeed as the Finance Manager:
  • Proven experience in managing high-volume transaction environments.
  • Strong reconciliation and error detection skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles with practical accounts payable and general ledger experience.
  • Experience with multi-currency and international operations desirable.
  • Quick to learn new systems and processes, with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders across different locations.
