Accounts Payable Clerk

Sheridan Maine are excited to be working in partnership with a well established organisation based in Central Bath who are seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Clerk to join their UK finance team on a three month assignment. This role will support the business through a busy period. 


Key duties within the accounts payable position will include but are not limited to:

• Processing multi-currency invoices on to the accounting system.
• Matching PO numbers to stock invoices, and coding non-stock invoices.
• Proactively seeking invoice approval.
• Supplier statement reconciliations.
• Preparing multi-currency supplier payments.
• Dealing with supplier queries and developing relationships.

To be considered for this accounts payable role, the successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

• Prior experience in a busy accounts payable/ purchase ledger role.
• Be immediately available to start the assignment.
• Experienced working with and without PO numbers.
• Hold an AAT qualification or be studying towards it.
• Ability to work proactively and use own initiative.
• Confident and friendly communication style.
• Someone who enjoys working as part of a team.
• Highly organised and able to meet deadlines.
