The FirmOur client is a reputable independent practice known for providing high-quality advisory, audit, and tax services to a wide range of clients. Their portfolio includes regulated businesses such as Investment Managers and Advisers, as well as high-profile restaurants, travel companies, and professional service providers including dentists, doctors, and solicitors.
The RoleAs Audit & Accounts Senior, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients, managing audit and accounting assignments from planning through to completion. You’ll also prepare financial statements from computerised client records and support tax compliance activities for both corporate and personal clients.
This role is ideally suited to someone from a small to mid-sized firm who enjoys being closely involved in the detail and thrives in a hands-on environment.
Responsibilities of the Audit & Accounts Senior will include:- Lead and complete audit assignments with the support of junior staff.
- Prepare statutory accounts from client records using IRIS software.
- Handle corporate and personal tax compliance.
- Liaise directly with clients, offering guidance and maintaining strong relationships.
The successful Audit & Accounts Senior will require:
- ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent) – or qualified by experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ UK practice experience, ideally within a small to medium-sized firm.
- Strong auditing and accounts preparation skills.
- Experience using IRIS software is advantageous.
- A proactive, "hands-on" approach with a willingness to complete work directly rather than purely reviewing others’ output.
