We are currently recruiting for a Technical Coordinator to join our Waste Pumping Team at Camberley Sewage Treatment Works.
This is an exciting predominately field-based role, working as part of a close and supportive Field Operations team overseeing 500 waste pumping stations. You will be focused on maintaining and improving pumping stations infrastructure, to ensure our assets operate 24/7. The role will also require you to manage smaller projects and provide support to the team on larger-scale projects.
You will be required to support the wider team with technical issues providing solutions to ongoing issues at the pumping station.
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated individual who can immerse themselves into the team around them, as well as being disciplined and have the desire to learn from those aroundthemu and have a can-do attitude. This role can be demanding at times but very rewarding too.
What you’ll be doing as the Technical Co-ordinator- Using technical expertise and data captured from the field to design operationally critical jobs.
- Highlighting key operational risks across the area and presenting these to obtain funding.
- Maintaining the availability of plant and equipment and optimising pumping station performance
- Developing strong collaborative relationships with other internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing expert advice on technical issues and generating solutions to operational risks.
- Carrying out data analysis on pumping stations to recognise trends and drive continuous improvement.
- Obtaining quotes, order materials, and third-party services through our framework contractors.
- Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are managed correctly, through a safe system of work approval, reviewing RAMS, permitting, and site audits.
Base Location: Camberley STW.
Working Pattern or hours: 36 Hours Monday-Friday 7:30 -15:30 Plus the inclusion onto a standby rota for which you will receive additional payment.
What should you bring to the role?- Knowledge of SCADA would be desirable.
- Having a mechanical/electrical apprenticeship or experience, an ICA background preferred
- Demonstrate good business/stakeholder awareness, together with an innovative and creative approach to problem-solving.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, to interact with your field-based colleagues and key stakeholders.
- Have previous experience in technical job design and/or prerequisite management within a utility company.
- Possess strong IT literacy skills as all work is managed through an SAP system and user training for this and other standard software systems will be provided.
