Thames Water is looking for a Senior Process Engineer to design cutting-edge water and wastewater treatment processes for diverse projects. What you’ll be doing as a Senior Process Engineer
  • Develop and design water and wastewater treatment processes that meet regulatory and internal standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with other engineering and technical departments as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver advanced solutions.
  • Input and continuously improve internal design standards.
  • Provide technical sign-off and assurance during project delivery and handover.
  • Train and mentor team members in treatment processes, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide technical assistance to operational teams.
  • Support establishing a cohesive, sustainable engineering structure for graduates and industry experts.

Hybrid – Reading Clearwater Court, you will be required in the office once a week and to attend sites as the business requires you to.

36 hours a week, Monday to Friday.

What you should bring to the role
  • Bachelors, preferably Masters, degree or other appropriate technical qualification in Chemical Engineering or related field.
  • Recognised by a relevant professional institution as a chartered member or actively working towards chartership.
  • Ideally, the candidate should have relevant knowledge of the water industry and experience designing water treatment and wastewater treatment plants (including biosolids).
  • Understanding of the water industry environment to achieve compliance with our engineering regulatory requirements.
  • Have analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects and tasks.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A passion for continuous professional development.
  • An active approach to driving diversity within engineering in Thames Water.
