Refuse/Garden Waste Op

Have you worked in manual labour before and are now seeking a new opportunity?

We are seeking Refuse and Garden Waste Operatives to join Plymouth City Council for the remainder of the season. This role involves extensive walking and physical activity, averaging over 25,000 steps per day!

Job Details:
Hours: 37 hours per week - 06:30 AM - 4:15 PM, Monday to Thursday
Assignment: Temporary, due to run until November 2024.
Location: Prince Rock Depot, Plymouth
Pay rate: £12.18ph

Key Responsibilities:
Loading and unloading garden/refuse bins in the Plymouth area
Working in a fast-paced environment
Performing a lot of manual handling
Working outdoors in all weather conditions

Ideal Candidate:
Has experience working outdoors and/or with a local authority
Is physically capable of performing tasks safely and effectively
Is a motivated team player

Additional Information:
The main depot is centrally located in Plymouth with on-site parking, a canteen, and shower facilities.
All suitable applicants must attend a mandatory induction session. Successful candidates will be given a start date following the induction.
