About the Role
This temporary position will cover the responsibilities of two Transport Officers, focusing on transport assessments and coordination of Passenger Assistants (PAs). Your responsibilities will include:
-Assessing Transport Entitlement:
Evaluate applications for school and social care transport in line with evolving statutory and local policies, ensuring fair and timely decisions.
- Coordinating Social Care Transport:

- Customer Service & Communication:
Respond to phone calls and enquiries from parents, schools, transport operators, and Passenger Assistants, providing clear and empathetic support.

Maintain accurate records, process applications, and support the wider team with day-to-day operational tasks.

We're looking for someone who thrives in a busy environment and can juggle multiple priorities with confidence and care. You'll need:
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal

- Experience in transport coordination, education, social care, or public services is highly desirable

This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a vital public service, working with a supportive and dedicated team. You'll be making a real difference in the lives of children and families, helping ensure every child has access to education regardless of their circumstances.
