Job Description

We have exciting opportunities for Process Technicians to join our waste team at Hogsmill STW, Kingston, KT1 3BW, serving the Kingston area.

As a Process Technician, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our operations run smoothly. Your role will include operating, testing, performing routine checks, maintenance, and troubleshooting to deliver services efficiently and to the highest standards. You may also take on planned and preventative maintenance tasks to support the plant’s operations.

This role requires flexibility, as you may occasionally need to travel to nearby sites to support the team.

What you’ll be doing as a Process Technician
  • Carrying out scheduled planned maintenance work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures to improve plant resilience.
  • Operating and cleaning plant and equipment to ensure on-site operational and health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Attending reactive jobs following plant and equipment failure.
  • Keeping sites clean and tidy and undertaking safety and security checks.
  • Always working safely and complying with all Health and Safety guidance and procedures.

Base location: Hogsmill - Kingston - KT1 3BW

Working pattern: 38 hours per week, Monday-Friday 7:30-15:36, including working on a call-out rota where you will receive additional payment.

Requirements: Due to the nature of the role a full UK driving licence is essential.

  • Ability to take ownership by replying quickly to faults, investigating the root cause, and identifying effective solutions to resolve issues the first time.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the team and stakeholders.
  • A forward-thinking approach, taking the lead on recommendations, improvements, and sharing ideas to enhance site performance.
  • Willingness to undergo training in safety procedures and maintain a strong focus on health and safety standards.
