Job Description

A Test Analyst will work closely with the entire project team to review the overall functional and non-functional requirements while keeping the user's perspective in mind.

Activities in this role will include analysing non-functional requirements and technical designs, translating functional requirements into test cases, and identifying defects and driving them to resolution. Ideally, candidates will be driven to think creatively to resolve complex problems and enjoy contributing to solutions regardless of their functional role within a project team.

What you’ll be doing as a Test Analyst
  • Create and Maintain test cases and scripts for functional as well as UI and API Testing per the Business Requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Execution of test scripts in accordance with the defined project timelines.
  • Accurately and comprehensively record defects discovered during the execution of test cases.
  • Ensure proper traceability, version control, and configuration management of all test objects.
  • Report issues and risks to the Test Manager/Lead.
  • Report progress and provide test metrics or reports to support the Test Manager/Lead and the stakeholders.
  • Liaise with business stakeholders to facilitate and gain approval on user acceptance testing.
  • Provide quality certification as evidence for completion of testing and readiness to deploy into production.
  • Maintain knowledge of current and emerging testing practices and implement continuous process improvements.

Base location – Hybrid – Clear Water Court Reading

Working pattern – Monday to Friday 36 hours

What you should bring to the role

A test analyst must possess a strong interest in identifying and resolving issues, a meticulous eye for detail and the ability to understand the broader context of the project.
  • Degree in Computer Science or related subject area.
  • ISTQB Foundation in Testing.
  • Mainframe platforms and end-user computing with experience in Waterfall, Agile and DevOps methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Risk Management, Risk Identification, and Risk-based Testing.
  • Familiar with Cloud technologies.
  • Extensive experience in testing.
