We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join Thames Water on a 13 - 18 month Fixed Term Contract as a Delivery Manager within the Complaints Turnaround Programme, you will work with the organisation to identify & define opportunities for improvement and deliver change successfully to people, and be a problem solver.  Someone who has a great deal of tenacity and loves to work in a fast-paced environment.

What you will be doing as the Delivery Manager:
You’ll get the opportunity to work closely with agile product teams to ensure that technical solutions meet the business needs and that thorough testing takes place mitigating any adverse impact on our customers, or business performance. You’ll also work closely with the business delivering smaller changes at pace.

Base Location: This is a hybrid role based in Swindon – Occasional travel to other sites for meetings.
Working Hours: 36 hours per week.

Duties to include but not limited to:
  • You will be hands-on, with end-to-end ownership & delivery of assigned initiatives.
  • Development of initiatives through a customer-centred approach, business analysis and business case creation.
  • Structured approach to delivery inc. strong planning skills.
  • Tenacity to ensure delivery of initiatives.
  • Able to effectively engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and build trusted relationships.
  • Adept at influencing stakeholders and managing relationships effectively. Build strong relationships and communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders, to gain buy-in for initiatives.
  • Ability to prioritise your workload based on business needs and value.
  • Promote the solution of initiatives: Listen to end users interpret what they say, and ensure requirements are clearly defined and prioritised.
  • Provide the Delivery Team with problem statements and work with the team to create the most suitable solution to the problem and that the end product meets the business needs.
  • Demonstrate progress by measuring the business value created.
 What you should bring to the role:
  • We are looking for someone with great Stakeholder Management skills across all levels, taking a customer-centred approach, working closely with business areas on the business issue, and guiding and positively challenging preconceptions.
  • Energetic throughout the entire project life cycle from Solutioning (Definition & Design) through to project closure.
  • Ability to elicit requirements using interviews, analysis, requirements sessions, use cases, scenarios, tasks, and workflow analysis.
  • Experience in continuous improvement delivery and experience in delivering in cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to rapidly understand the business needs and environments, future trends, opportunities, and constraints in any business domain.
  • A self-starter with an inquisitive mind and a good problem solver someone with a great deal of tenacity who loves to work in a fast-paced environment.
We would be particularly interested in candidates with:
A solid foundation in using Excel and PowerPoint.
Presentation skills: Able to present complex analysis in a simple way that allows strategic decisions to be made.
