Job Description

As a Demand & Capacity Lead, you'll play a key role in ensuring our teams have the right resources at the right time to deliver excellent service. Your focus will be on balancing demand, optimising resources, and providing valuable insights that drive efficiency.

Partnering with our Data & Insight and Field Teams, you’ll work on innovative solutions
that enhance productivity and efficiency.

If you have strong experience in capacity planning, resource management, or field operations, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

What will you be doing as a Capacity Lead?
  • Create a clear, organised way of working across the team and key stakeholders.
  • Analyse demand and capacity, turning data into valuable business insights.
  • Influence strategy and decision-making to drive positive change in the business.
  • Work closely with field and office teams to ensure accurate data and effective planning.
  • Enhance processes, reporting, and analysis to support continuous growth. You’ll use Microsoft Office, SAP ECC, and Click to manage schedules and keep track of progress.

Base Location: Green Park, Reading, RG2 6AD. The role follows a hybrid format, with 1 day in the office each week, plus an additional day once a month for a team meeting.

What you should bring to the role
  • Experience in data analysis with stakeholder engagement is essential.
  • A degree or equivalent in an analytical field (e.g., Science, Maths, or Geographical disciplines) would be a plus.
  • A background in operational planning or field team management would be beneficial, as it provides insight into the challenges stakeholders may face.
  • Strong Excel skills are a must.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for creating reports and/or experience using SQL would be an advantage.

What’s in it for you?

This is an exciting and dynamic role where you'll collaborate closely with operational teams working across Above Ground Assets—whether in the field or office-based roles—including Wastewater Treatment, Water Production Sites, and Waste Pumping. You'll be the go-to person for capacity planning and demand profiling, offering recommendations and influencing key stakeholders to support strategic decisions.
  • Salary from £43,200 up to £48,000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
  • Generous Pension Scheme through AON.
  • Access to lots of benefits to help you take care of you and your family’s health and wellbeing, and your finances – from annual health MOTs and access to physiotherapy and counselling, to Cycle to Work schemes, shopping vouchers and life assurance.
