Finance Business Partner (Contract)

We are seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join us on a 3-4 month contract. You will be responsible for driving operational and financial performance through insight and active influence of the senior Digital Leadership Team and CIO. Responsible for the integrity and assurance of financial planning, providing high quality insightful financial reporting and the accuracy of financial judgements in line with Financial Control policies.

What you will be doing as Finance Business Partner (Contract)

Business performance management

• Develop a deep understanding of Digital cost drivers, risks, opportunities and efficiency levers across the Digital cost base to drive improvements in operational and financial performance.
• Deliver quality performance reporting and robust projections of future performance incorporating quality insight underpinned by cost drivers.

Business partnering

• Build strong, influential relationships with CIO and Digital management teams to support the achievement of shared business performance objectives.
• Be a critical adviser to relevant accountable leaders on financially important operational matters, including financial target setting.

Financial Planning, Analysis, Accounting & Reporting management

• Responsible for the core financial assumptions that underpin budgets, forecasts, in-AMP and longer-term business plans.
• Collaborate with central FP&A to align on key operational KPIs and efficiency measures to provide insightful value-add performance reporting at all levels of the organisation.

Change management  

• Key contributor and adviser to business leaders on significant business change and the resultant financial consequences.

Financial Leadership

• Leadership accountability for creating an engaging and positive working environment in collaboration with the wider Finance Leadership team, proactively identifying and developing talent.
• Role model collaborative ways of working and innovative problem resolution techniques across the retail finance and wider business teams.
• Lead a team of analysts.

What you should bring to the role

• You should be a seasoned Finance Business Partner with experience dealing at the Executive Level.
• A qualified Accountant with excellent stakeholder and management experience.
• A collaborator who can build influential relationships in a short time.
• Experience working within a digital finance world would be a benefit but not essential.
