As a Senior Project Manager for Operational Technology Asset Health (OTAH), your role encompasses several critical tasks. You are entrusted with delivering significant technology and business change initiatives that propel Thames’ progress toward achieving business area goals and desired outcomes.
The Senior Project Manager OTAH will be an experienced Project Manager with comprehensive engineering and technical knowledge, responsible for shaping, defining, managing and delivering a coherent set of activities across multiple projects within the Thames Digital OT team, reporting into a Programme Manager. As a leader, they will define the project scope, program, and budget for delivery, directly contributing to Thames Water's OT Obsolescence program and Turnaround plan.
What you’ll be doing as an OT Senior Project Manager- Lead & coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects – ensure they deliver to agreed time, cost, quality, and outcomes. Utilising effective statements of work as required. (SOWs)
- Define, baseline, and maintain the project’s scope, plan, resources & budget that will successfully deliver the business outcomes/objectives – ensuring that the project aligns with the organisational goal and outcomes.
- Identify, engage, and manage direct and indirect stakeholders appropriately in the context of their role within projects.
- Identify, assess, and manage risks effectively, utilising project governance to provide visibility/escalate as appropriate.
- Manage project change within agreed tolerances or escalate changes to the project control boards.
- Identify and manage RAID items within the project and escalate where appropriate.
- Create project closure reports and lead lessons learned workshops.
- Create and maintain project cost models covering actual, accrual, and forecast – challenging costs to drive value.
Base Location: Reading - HybridWorking Pattern or hours: 36 HoursWhat you should bring to the role- Experience in Operations and OT solutions.
- Knowledge of the construction, infrastructure or utility industry and business knowledge with prior involvement in delivering major complex projects within a regulated infrastructure environment.
- Knowledgeable in managing contract specification preparation, tendering, and tender evaluation processes with experience in negotiation.
- Delivery of OT projects involving third-party suppliers.
- To be able to lead both internal teams and third-party collaborators.
- Knowledge of OT methodologies and principles.
